※As with the 17th HASETSUNE30K last year, the time limit for the 2nd checkpoint (Iriyama Pass) is abolished. However, for safety reasons, runners arriving at Iriyama Pass after 16:00 must board the retirement vehicles provided by the organizer.

Venue

Akigawa Keikoku Ribertio

Course

Okutama Mountain Area, Tokyo

Course centered around the Tokura Sanzan (planned)

 

Akigawa Keikoku Ribertio → Nishitokura Trailhead → Shiroyama → Nitago Pass → Gumigozen → Usukiyama → First Checkpoint (Kosakashi Rindo) → Entrance of Gorohachi Rindo → Ichimichiyama → Iriyama Pass → Imakuma Shrine → Akigawa Keikoku Ribertio

 

※The trail from Tokkiriba to Iriyama Pass is closed due to logging works.

Therefore, the route will proceed from Tokkiriba via Bonbori Rindo to Iriyama Pass.

Regarding Test Run Restricted Areas

Test runs are prohibited on Gorohachi Rindo except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Note that work may also be conducted on Saturdays.

Please exercise caution during test runs to avoid disturbing those working.

 

Additionally, test runs are prohibited on Bonbori Rindo due to construction. We will announce the dates when test runs are permitted separately.

Participation Requirements

(1) Be at least 16 years old on the day of the event (participants under 18 require parental consent)

(2) Have confidence in completing the entire race course without getting lost within the time limit

(3) Carry the GPS location service device (IBUKI) designated by the organizer during the race

(4) For Elite category entry, in addition to general category qualifications (1) to (3), meet one of the following:

・Past winner of this event

・Athletes with an ITRA Performance Index total score of 600+ for men or 560+ for women as of December 2025

Record

Records will be measured using the runners chips.

 

Finisher certificates will be issued on the day of the event. Additionally, for those who wish, a record booklet will be mailed at a later date for a fee.

<About Measurement Using the runners chips>

(1) Records will be measured using the runners chips.

(2) Your runner's chips are attached to your athlete bib. Please confirm you have them correctly. Securely attach the runner's chips to your shoelaces and line up at the start line.

(3) Timing will be recorded at the checkpoint and at the finish.

(4) Failure to wear your runner's chips, or using another person's chips, will result in disqualification. You must wear your own runner's chips.

(5) Runner's chips cannot be used in other events. Please return your chips after finishing the race.

(6) If you do not run the race after receiving the chips, you must still return your chips.

(7) Runner’s chips will be collected in the finish area.

(8) Runner’s chips cannot be reissued. Loss of the chips or non-returned chips will incur a fee.

Benefits

・Male runners finishing within the top 500 and female runners within the top 50 will earn priority entry rights to the “34th Japan Mountain Endurance Race - Hasegawa Tsuneo Cup.”

・Participation Prize: Original T shirt, local specialty vegetable “norabō-na”

Award

・Medals and certificates will be awarded to the top 3 finishers overall (men/women) and in each age group. Certificates will be awarded to 4th-6th place.

・Overall award winners are not eligible for age group awards.

・Finishers (within the 7-hour 15-minute time limit) will receive a finisher’s certificate on the race day.

Entry Fee

・General/Elite Division: ¥12,000

・High School Students (16 years or older): ¥6,000 (tax included)

 

A ¥1,000 discount applies to:

- Trail Run JAPAN 2025 Registered Athletes

- Tokyo Mountain Federation Members (Group/Individual)

To receive a discounted price, you must enter your Trail Run JAPAN Athlete Registration Number or your affiliated mountaineering organization name/individual registration number in the “Affiliation” field during registration.

 

※ Athletes with an IBUKI device must enter the 15-digit IMEI code on the back of their IBUKI device during registration.

If you do not have an IBUKI device, select the IBUKI device rental option (+¥1,100) during registration.

※When applying, please enter your ITRA Performance Index overall score as of December 2025.

If you have not obtained an ITRA Performance Index or it is unknown, please enter “0”.

※Athletes without an ITRA Performance Index who have an official full marathon time from 2023 to 2025 should enter that time and the race name (the submitted record will be verified by the event organizer). .

※Entries under the hometown tax donation category require a separate tax donation of 30,000 yen or more.

※All fees include injury insurance.

※No refunds will be issued after registration is accepted for any category.

※A portion of the participation fees will be used for Okutama environmental conservation activities.

※Past overall male and female winners will be invited.

Participation Capacity

1,400 participants (including those under the hometown tax donation program)

Cancellation Criteria

Decisions will be made based on the following criteria:

(1)   If a weather warning is issued in the forecast for the event date.  

(2)   If safe event operation becomes difficult due to natural disasters or similar events.

 

<Event Cancellation Decision Date>

The decision date is approximately one month prior to the event, Saturday, March 1, 2026. If any of the following situations are anticipated at that time, the event's feasibility will be reviewed, and cancellation may occur.

・If a state of emergency, typhoon, earthquake, or other natural disaster occurs in Tokyo, and event cancellation is recommended.

・If medical systems in Tokyo are overwhelmed due to the above or similar events, making emergency response for participants difficult.

・If the organizer determines it cannot safely operate the event.

・Even after the above decision date, if an emergency, typhoon, earthquake, or other natural disaster occurs before the event day, cancellation may be decided at short notice.

 

<Handling of Participation Fees>

・If the event is canceled as of March 1, 2026, a refund equivalent to ¥2,500 will be issued via Runners Point ‘RUNPO’. Details on the refund method will be provided separately.

・If the event is canceled after the decision date (March 2 onwards), no refund will be issued.

・Only if cancellation occurs after the decision date up to the day before the event, entry rights (paid) for the 19th HASETSUNE 30K will be granted.

Details regarding shared gender-specific cottages or group-exclusive cottage rentals at Akigawa Keikoku Ribertio will be announced later on the event website.

<TRAIL RUNNING SESSION 2026>

A trail running session will be held the day before the race, and race reception will also open on that day.

<2026 Spring Hasetsune Green Festival>

The Spring Hasetsune Green Festival will be held one week after the race, featuring a course cleanup.

Saturday, April 4, 2026  9:00~  Owada Nagomi Square (next to Owada Kaikan)

Details will be announced at a later date.

Rules and Precautions

(1) The race will be held individually.

(2) It will be a time trial race on a designated mountain course (the ranking will be determined by the runners with the shortest time).

(3) There will be time limit at the checkpoint. Runners who exceed the limit must stop racing and descend the mountain following the instructions of the officials.

(4) Runners must carry at least 1.5 liters of water and wear full-length(upper and lower) mountaineering rainwear (made from waterproof (recommended: water pressure resistance 10,000mm/㎠ or higher) and breathable material, with waterproof taped seams to withstand mountain weather, including a hood. Items lacking either waterproofing or breathability are not permitted. Windbreakers, etc., are not acceptable).

Runners also must to carry food and a GPS location service device (IBUKI).

In addition to the required equipment above, carrying cold-weather gear (down or new materials with high thermal insulation), a mobile phone, and a headlamp is strongly recommended. Other equipment deemed necessary by the participant is not restricted.

(5) The use of poles, walking sticks, etc., is prohibited until the first checkpoint (Kosakashi Rindo). Poles must be carried in a pack or attached to the waist (carrying them in hand while running is also prohibited until the first checkpoint).

(6) Tape and arrow markers are placed at key points along the course.

(7) As a heatstroke countermeasure, a 500ml plastic bottle of water will be provided at the first checkpoint.

(8) The following participants will be disqualified:

  ・Participants who discard trash during the race

  ・Participants who entered under false conditions (e.g., running as a substitute)

  ・Participants who violate rules and regulations of the race (e.g., not carrying required equipment).

   (The organizers may conduct spot checks of equipment after the race.)

  ・Participants who disobey the instructions of judges or officials

  ・Participants arriving at a checkpoint after the designated time limit or exceeding the finish time limit.

  ・Participants who do not wear their athlete bibs, or who wear their bibs folded

  ・Participants who received water, food, or other supplies from others

   (except for water provided by the organizer at the first checkpoint)

  ・Participants who engage in acts violating nature conservation

  ・Participants who commit acts of misconduct

(9) Participants must notify officials on the course if they withdraw the race during competition due to physical condition or other reasons.

(10) The organizer will provide first aid for accidents during the race but assumes no other responsibility whatsoever.

Important Notes

(1) Please note that late arrivals at reception will not be permitted to participate.

(2) All participants must take their trash home with them.

(3) Be sure to bring your health insurance card or My Number Card on the day of the event.

(4) The organizers may cancel the race if weather conditions deteriorate during the event.

(5) The organizers will only provide first aid for accidents during the race and assume no other responsibility. Please take sufficient precautions.

(6) Please note that vehicles entering the venue area or parked illegally will be towed.

(7) Officials may stop a runner if they determine the runner cannot continue the race.

(8) If you want to leave your luggage, please use the designated area as instructed by officials. However, please manage your own valuables. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any loss.
