As the extremely large typhoon is forecast to pass close to eastern Honshu and has Tokyo area in its sights, the organization committee  of the 27th HASETSUNE CUP has decided to call off the race on 13th and 14th of October.

The large size typhoon with heavy rain and strong winds could cause serious damage in the race area and impact public transportation. Many train services around Tokyo area will be suspended and domestic flights are cancelled.

The committee has been working hard to prepare for the race for several months.

However, taking the situation over the weekend and risks of runners, staff and other participants in the race into account, the committee has decided to cancel the race.
