The executive board of HASETSUNE CUP have decided to cancel the 29th HASETSUNE CUP scheduled to be held on October 9 and 10, 2021 due to the spread of the Covid-19.

As the HASETSUNE CUP is a large-scale event attended by 4,000 people or so including runners, staff and spectators, and given the situation that the vaccination is still underway and hospitals are overwhelmed as well the sixth wave is concerned, we reached the conclusion that we should not spread the virus by having the race.

We apologize that our decision will be a great disappointment to runners, volunteers, sponsors, and parties involved in the race. We appreciate your understanding and continuous support.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere condolences for the victims of the COVID-19. We also wish those who are infected with the disease a quick recovery.

We are taking procedures as below following the cancellation.

(1) Participation fees have been used for preparation for the race. A portion of the

participation fee will be refunded if there is a remaining balance after the final settlement.

(2) Participation guide and a race program are being mailed to you. T-shirt will be sent in the middle of October. (Size of T-shirt may differ from the size in your entry registration.)

(3) All entrants will be entitled to priority entry of the 14th HASETSUNE 30K which is scheduled to be held at the end of March 2022. Details will be announced in February 1, 2022 when the registration starts.

Delivery date of the participation award and other information will be posted on our wrbsite.
